Eligibility
Every child in New York City has the right to a free, appropriate, public education. To provide that, our school serves students from Pre-K to grade 5 in a variety of classroom settings.
Students with siblings who currently attend PS9 and/or who reside within our school zone receive priority for available seats.
How to Apply
The application process for students entering grades 1 to 5 is done at PS9 by our Secretary for Pupil Accounting . Applications for Pre-K and kindergarten are managed by the NYCPS Student Enrollment Division.

Dual Language
Dual Language Spanish - English Immersion (DL) classes are offered in every grade at PS9. If your student is entering grades 1 through 5 and is interested in participating in this program, please make a note of that on the application.
Students will be screened for eligibility. Students whose native (or home) language is Spanish are given preference in admission. For the current school year, apply online by filling out this form. Complete a separate application for each student and indicate if they are a twin.
