Get Involved

At PS9, we have a strong community of parent volunteers who make the school a better place and have a lot of fun doing it! Throughout the year we run a variety of fundraisers and we need your help. There are many opportunities to get involved – pick one, or pick many!

Join a PTO Committee

We encourage every caregiver to join at least one committee to connect with the PS9 community. These groups focus on specific projects and initiatives that support the school.

How to join: In the Konstella app, click on the Directory tab at the bottom, then click on Browse Committees. Scroll through the list and click the orange button for any group you're interested in joining.

There is no commitment required. You can join a committee on Konstella to be part of the conversation, and volunteer your time as you’re able throughout the school year. Some committees meet monthly, others connect on an as-needed basis. Some are already very active, others need a few motivated people to jump in and get the conversation started. 

 

 

Become a Class Lead

Each classroom needs a class lead! Class leads facilitate communication between the teacher and parents, attend school meetings, volunteer as needed in the class, and help on class trips when available.
