Every Gift Makes a Difference

Your donation helps the PTO provide every student with essential school supplies, enrich their learning through vibrant art and science programs, and keep recess fun and safe with additional staff support. Together, we’re building a stronger,  more joyful school community.

For the current school year, we have budgeted $375 per student to support all the amazing programs our PTO helps fund—but we know not every family can give that amount. That’s why we come together as a community. Whether you give a little or a lot, your contribution helps make sure every child at PS9 has the tools, enrichment, and support they need to thrive. Let’s invest in our kids together!

 

Back to School Made Easier for Every Family

Each year, families typically spend over $140 on school supplies per child, but at PS9, the PTO covers 100% of those costs for every student. That means every child starts the year with the tools they need to succeed, and no family has to worry about shopping lists or added expenses. Your donation to the PTO helps make this possible.

Because we buy supplies in bulk, we’re able to provide everything a student needs for just $50 per child.  If you're able, we invite you to make a donation in this amount (or more!) to help us continue this valuable annual effort. Every contribution—big or small—helps ensure that all our students have what they need to thrive.

Bringing Art & Science Enrichment to Every Student

The biggest initiative supported by our PTO budget is funding in-school art and science programs for PS9 students. These engaging classes are led by expert third-party educators during the school day and are completely free for every K-5 student. They spark creativity, encourage curiosity, and help our children explore and better understand the world around them. Your support makes these enriching experiences possible.

We need your help to sustain this vital programming. Approximately $99 per student from our PTO budget goes directly toward these enrichment classes. A donation of $99 helps cover the cost for one student—and also supports the many other important efforts our PTO funds throughout the year.

Google, Disney, Goldman Sachs and Wells Fargo are just a few companies who have supported PS9 through their employee matching programs.  Please check with your employer or look them up here and submit a donation matching request.
